Split the check without doing the math.
Pilk lets everyone at the table pay their part while one person handles the restaurant check. Scan in, pick your share, and skip the post-dinner Venmo chase.
How it works
Four steps from “ready to go” to “already paid.”
Pilk works around the restaurant's normal checkout instead of asking everyone to learn something new.
- 01
Start a table
One person becomes the Captain and starts a Pilk room. That's the whole setup.
- 02
Scan in
Everyone scans the QR code and joins instantly — no accounts to create at the table.
- 03
Split it
Each person confirms their share. Tax and tip are handled, so there's no napkin math.
- 04
Pay
The Captain pays the restaurant like normal. Pilk gets everyone else's part back to them.
The idea underneath is simple: why isn't paying as a group already this easy?
Why Pilk
Dinner was fun. The spreadsheet afterward wasn't.
Splitting a check is something people do constantly, and somehow it's still awkward. Pilk fixes the part everyone dreads.
No post-dinner Venmo chase
Everyone settles their part at the table. You're not texting reminders three days later.
No pile of cards at checkout
The server isn't running six cards. The Captain pays once, the restaurant's night stays simple.
No twenty-minute tax-and-tip debate
Pilk splits the real total — tax and tip included — so nobody's doing arithmetic over dessert.
No one stuck floating the bill
The Captain doesn't become everyone's least favorite debt collector. Their part comes back automatically.
Stop becoming your friends' least favorite debt collector.
One check. Everyone pays their part. Nobody chases anybody.

FAQ
Questions, answered honestly.
Pilk is pre-launch, so we'll always tell you what's decided and what's still in progress.
What is Pilk?
Pilk is a faster way for groups to split a restaurant check. Everyone at the table pays their own share while one person — the Captain — handles the actual bill with the restaurant.
How does Pilk work?
One person starts a Pilk room and shows a QR code. Everyone scans in, confirms what they owe, and authorizes their own payment. The Captain pays the restaurant, and Pilk gets everyone else's part back to the Captain.
Does the restaurant need Pilk?
No. Pilk is designed to work around the restaurant's existing checkout. The Captain pays the check the normal way — the restaurant doesn't have to install or learn anything.
Do all my friends need the app?
Our goal is to keep joining a table as frictionless as possible — scan the code and go, without a lot of setup. We'll share the exact details for diners as we get closer to launch.
When is Pilk launching?
We're still building. We haven't set a public launch date yet — join the waitlist and you'll be among the first to hear when early access opens.
Where will Pilk be available?
We're starting in the United States. We'll expand from there and will keep waitlist members posted on where Pilk is available.
How much will Pilk cost?
We're still finalizing pricing ahead of launch. Waitlist members will hear about pricing and early access before Pilk becomes broadly available.
Is Pilk a bank?
No. Pilk is not a bank and is not a financial institution. Pilk is building software to make group payments easier and expects to work with third-party payment providers to move money.
How does Pilk keep payments secure?
Security is central to how we're building Pilk. We plan to work with established payment providers and follow standard industry practices for handling sensitive information. No online service can promise perfect security, and we'll always be straightforward about how your information is handled.
